A few more days were spent at ‘the acres’ last week. It started with installing a sign and beginning the installation of a gate across the driveway. Thank goodness I had a tractor with backhoe to help dig holes. My old faithful posthole digger just wasn’t the right tool in this soil. On the final day of this visit, I had a brief chat with a trespasser followed by hanging a few ‘private property’ signs. The private drive sign was already installed thanks to the first trespasser we saw driving out of our brand new driveway.

Friends visited for their first turkey hunt! We spent every morning and evening possible hunting for turkey and their signs. The birds had gone silent but plenty of skat was found. None harvested. Best of all, we did a lot of exploring in the LPO to the South and State lands to the North and there were many sights to see.
